At PROOF in Honselersdijk, we work every day on innovations that contribute to a more sustainable greenhouse horticulture sector. Recently, GroentenNieuws published an insightful article about our ongoing trials with two promising systems for active dehumidification, without the need for additional heating.
In collaboration with partners such as Climalux and Alcomij, we are exploring how a new type of LED fixture with a built-in fan, combined with the Caeli system – which uses small fans installed in each greenhouse column for precise local climate control – can help create a more stable and energy-efficient greenhouse environment.
These solutions are fully integrated into the existing greenhouse structure and do not cause light interception. They improve air circulation and make it possible to manage the climate more precisely and efficiently. In the first months, we already observed a gas consumption reduction of up to 30%.
