At HortiTech, we specialize in conducting projects within a trial environment, meticulously designed to replicate practical greenhouse production conditions. The objectives of these projects can vary significantly, ranging from showcasing novel or established technologies/methods to serving as a validation mechanism for innovative concepts or research and development endeavors.
To facilitate these trials, we have recently established a state-of-the-art greenhouse facility boasting the following specifications:
Our greenhouse features compartments ranging in size from 150 m2 to 1200 m2, ensuring adaptability to diverse experimental requirements.
With a gutter height of 6 meters, our greenhouse structure provides ample space for vertical growth and efficient utilization of available resources. Next to that, each compartment is adjustable to fit any type of crop. This can range from soil-bound to a ‘growing on water’ system.
To maintain a conducive environment for crop growth, all windows are equipped with mesh screens, effectively safeguarding against harmful pests while allowing beneficial insects to thrive.
Leveraging liquid fertilizer systems, we can formulate precise feeding recipes tailored to specific crop requirements. Our facility boasts seven distinct feeding lines, enabling meticulous nutrient management.
Through the implementation of cutting-edge water recirculation techniques, including gutter systems, drainage capture, and thorough purification processes, we ensure optimal water conservation and reuse across all compartments.
Each compartment is equipped with customizable climate control systems, empowering researchers to fine-tune environmental parameters according to their experimental needs.
In addition to providing state-of-the-art infrastructure, we offer comprehensive support throughout the project lifecycle. From developing tailored research plans and methodologies to overseeing crop steering, data collection, analysis, and market validation, we are committed to assisting our clients at every stage of their research endeavors.
